As the Food Supply Chain descends on the NEC next month (16-18 April 2018), for the bi-annual Foodex exhibition, experts in design and construction management, Arctica Limited, are preparing to demonstrate to visitors how to build a food processing facility from the ground up.
Situated on stand Y281, in the main Foodex exhibition hall, the Stamford-based architectural design firm will be hosting live demonstrations of industry leading Revit building information modelling (BIM) software to create visuals and 3D video fly throughs of food processing installations.
Visitors to the stand will be able to find out how Arctica can deliver effective architectural services, combined with process, cost and project management, for any food processing or industrial project.
Revit Autodesk BIM software enables the collaborative design and visualisation of a project. Multiple team members can work on the same project using a centrally shared model. Arctica experts will be creating immersive visualisations and 3D virtual reality models to show best practice in the design and construction of complex facilities.
Originally founded in 2001 as an architectural practice specialising in the food industry, Arctica subsequently extended into process engineering design and later into cost and project management. They now offer a multi-disciplinary ‘one stop shop’ for design and construction management of buildings for food processing and industry.
With an in-depth knowledge of the food industry, Arctica focus equally on programme, budget, technical and health and safety requirements. They pride themselves on a ‘can do attitude’ and a passion for accuracy and thoroughness.
The Arctica stand at Foodex will feature examples of the firm’s work for clients such as Bakkavör, English Cheesecake Company, Vitacress Salads and Hain Daniels.
