Description
A 9,000m2 new build salad factory for bagged leaf and deli products for Marks and Spencer on a twenty-acre ex-colliery site. The project included 1,500m2 2 storey offices, canteen, changing rooms and training facilities.
The master planning included potential future proofing as well as the complete design and construction drawings for the factory, offices, energy centre, gatehouse, and waste handling facility.
The challenge was to produce an economic aesthetic for all buildings but with an overall effect that gave a high visual impression of the whole facility including future expansion in pre-determined zones.
