Geest Tilmanstone

• New build 9,000m² salads factory for bagged leaf and deli products dedicated to Marks and Spencer.
• Independent 1,500m² 2-storey offices, canteen, changing and training facilities.
• The project included master planning the site for both Tilmanstone Salads and potential future uses, as well as the design and construction drawings for all of the buildings on site, including the factory, offices, energy centre, gatehouse and waste handling facility.
• The 20-acre site was a brown field, remediated ex-colliery facility.
• The design challenge was to produce an economic aesthetic for all of the buildings but with an overall effect that gave a high visual impression of the whole facility. In addition, future expansion in pre-determined zones had to be incorporated.
